Seramik eğitiminde “Atölye Sanat” dersleri öğrencinin eğitim hayatı boyunca aldığı teorik, uygulamalı ve mesleki derslerin tümüne ait bilgileri kullandığı derslerdir. Bu derslerde öğrenciler, mesleki olarak edindikleri beceri ve bilgileri kullanarak kendi sanatçı kimliklerini geliştirmek için çalışmalar yaparlar. Bir dönem boyunca dersin yürütücüsüyle bire bir görüşmelerle sürdürülen dersin sonucunda üretilen çalışmalar, dönem sonunda sergilenerek sunulur. Sergileme ve Mekan dersi, Atölye Sanat dersi öğrencilerinin sergileme ve mekan ilişkisini öğrenmeleri, bunun yanında çalışmalarının sergileme aşamasında karşılaşacakları sorunlar ve çözüm önerilerini geliştirebilmeleri için tasarlanmış seçmeli bir derstir. Derste bir yandan sergi, galeri, müze, beyaz küp mekanlar gibi temel sergileme kavramları teorik olarak anlatılırken diğer bir yandan da bir serginin nasıl kurulacağı, bir çalışmanın nasıl sergilenebileceği gibi sorulara çeşitli uygulamalarla cevaplar aranır. Ders kapsamında yapılan uygulamalar hem ölçekli maketler üzerinde hem de gerçek mekanlarda yapılır. Mekan kavramı ve algısının gelişmesi için temel sergileme teknikleri üzerine çalışılır. Daha sonra alternatif ve kişisel sergileme teknikleri geliştirilerek, sanatçı kimliğinin mekanla ilişkisi araştırılır, sergileme teknikleri ve sergi kavramı ile ilgili bilgilerle desteklenerek güncel mekan anlayışları ve sanatçı örnekleri üzerine yenilikçi fikirler geliştirilir. Bu çalışmanın seramik eğitimi veren kurumlarda öğrencilerin sergileme alanındaki bilgilerini geliştirebilmelerini sağlayacak bir model olması hedeflenmektedir.
“Studio Art” classes that students use all of the theirtheorical, practice and professional knowledge they learned during their educational life. During those main classes, they try to find their own artistic identities using their theoratical and professional knowlegde. The works produced with one-on-one dialog with the professor during the class are exhibited at the end of the semester. Exhibition and Space course is designed for the students to learn the relation between the space and the exhibition and help them to encounter the problems of the display phase. The class consist of both theoretical knowledge of exhibitions, museum, white cube galleries and other basic concepts of an exhibition, and searches for answers about how to display an exhibition. The exercises for this class are done at both in scaled models and in real spaces. Students work on basic display techniques for the development of space concept and perception. Developing alternative and personal exhibition techniques, the relationship between artist identity and space is explored, exhibiting techniques and exhibition concept are supported with innovative ideas on contemporary space concepts and artist examples. It is aimed that this study will be a model that will enable students to develop their knowledge in the field of exhibition in the institutions providing ceramic education.
