Türkiye'de tuvenan pomza üretiminde en önemli yeri tutan kuruluş ÇİNKUR A.Ş'dir. Yıllık 500.000 m3'lük bir üretim ile Türkiye üretiminin yaklaşık % 50'sini karşılamaktadır. Diğer %50'lik kısma tekabül eden üretimler ise Kayseri-Talas, Tomarza, Nevşehir, Niğde ve Isparta yöresindeki özel sektör tarafından yapılmaktadır. Kırşehir'de yıllık 2 milyon adet kapasiteli Aktuğla şirketi ile Isparta'da yıllık 7,5 milyon adet kapasiteli Entegre yapı malzemeleri şirketi sektörün önemli kuruluşlarıdır. Ayrıca aynı bölgelerde irili ufaklı yüzlerce briket imalathaneleri bulunmakta ve Türkiye'nin bu konudaki ihtiyacına cevap vermektedir. Tekstil san~yinde kullanılan ayıklanmış, sınıflandırılmış ve yıkanmış Pomza üreten 50'ye yakın tesis bulunmakta, bunlar Niğde, Nevşehir, Kayseri civarında yoğunlaşmaktadır. Soylu Madencilik, Araslar Şirketi, Ür-Pa AŞ. sektörün önemli kuruluşlarındandır. Üretim tamamen satışa bağlı olarak yapılmakta talep halinde % 100 üretim artışı sağlanabilmektedir.
